Цели:

Образовательные: усовершенствование знаний учащихся по теме « Great Britain”;

--усовершенствование навыков аудирования ( « Достопримечательности Великобритании» );

Развивающие: тренировать память, развивать мышление, логическое и последовательное связанное высказывание. Расширять кругозор учащихся.

Воспитательные: акцентировать внимание учащихся на значении английского языка в сов-

ременном обществе. Прививать любовь и уважение к традициям и культуре страны язык . которой изучается и к языку.

1. It has wax models of famous people from all over the world. The models look like real people. The museum is very popular with the tourists. There is a gift shop.

2. It is 10 miles out side London on a hill above the River Thames. It has got . and displays about astronomy. There is a video Theatre and a souvenir shop here.

3. Its official name is the Palace of Westminster. It is the place where members of British Parliament work. At the north end there is a famous clock tower, Big Ben. In fact Big Ben is really the name of the bell in the tower not the clock.

4. It is the oldest building. Since it was built in 11-th century, this castle has been a royal palace, a prison, a zoo and many other. Today it”s a museum and houses the Crown Jewels.

5. It was founded in 1050 as a monastery, but later it was rebuilt. Nearly all the kings and queens of Britain were crowned and buried there. The Abbey is a symbol of English traditions. One of the treasures of the Abbey is the ancient Coronation Chair.
